You are encouraged to use some of your own ideas during your senior photo session. Ask, don't be afraid to make suggestions.  So, be inventive, creative, and most of all, be yourself. Rememeber, this is your photo session and we want your portraits to mirror your personality and character. We want to portray you in the best possible light.

But most of all, we want you to have FUN!

What You Can Do to Make the Best Possible Pictures?

Location - Our photo shoot location will make a big difference in how the images look.  We can do your sitting in the studio, on location or a combination of both.  We are always looking for unique backgrounds and locations.  If you have a preferred location where you would like your session to be, let us know.  We will try to accommodate.  We can travel to where you want the photos taken. It can be near your home, a Park, the river, a farm or almost anywhere you would like. We can bring our equipment to your site!

Probably, the best backgrounds are "old" - an old building, weathered shed, or a rusted classic car. We also have a VW bug for you to pose with! Other backgrounds might include: Rocks, large trees, old fences, brick buildings alleys, etc.

Touch-Ups - Your portrait can be digitally re-touched to remove unwanted blemishes or imperfections in the background.  Some minor retouching will automatically be done on your finished portraits.  More extensive retouching is available for a slight charge.

Our Equipment - We only use digital. Your Senior photos would also look great in black-and-white.  We are able to do many different special effects to your portraits, i.e.  black and white with a focal color, sepia tone, vignettes, etc.

First of all - Get excited! The best way to great pictures is your attitude. If you're excited, it shows up on every shot. Some of my best photos are from people who can't wait to see their pictures and really get involved in the photo shoot. Attitude makes a huge difference.

Just Be Yourself - While the photographer will help with posing, don't be afraid to try something different. Not every picture needs to be a big smile, they should reflect several aspects of you. When asked to sit for a pose, sit naturally, the same as you would anywhere else. Make yourself comfortable. It is OK to move around. Remember, these are your Senior memoies that we want to capture. We want them to reflect your personality and character.

Clothing & Outfits - Go ahead and bring your favorite skirt, pants and several tops. Solid colors usually work best. Earthy colors (brown, green) look really good outside. Worn-out blue jeans are very popular. They look great outdoors and are comfortable for the model.  Do you have a favorite outfit, costume or uniform that you’d like to wear?  That’s fine!  (No overly revealing outfits please!) Leather jackets can be worn or thrown across your shoulder for a more casual look. Remember: Black makes you look thinner. White is the opposite. Guys – you don’t have to shave but it does usually make a better image.

Bring Your Favorite Jewelry & Accessories - Earrings, necklaces, bracelets, hats and other clothing accessories are great to have along. They can be mixed with every outfit, giving some really unique pictures. Don’t' forget to bring your school jacket or sports items along.

Be Creative and Inventive - Always wanted to have your picture taken on a John Deere tractor or on the back of your favorite motorcycle or bike?  Maybe you have a favorite horse or pet you want in your shoot. Things to Know About Your Just tell us and we will try to accommodate.
